Mulawarman Museum and Funeral of King Kutai. | Print |

Located at Tenggarong, about 45 Km from samarinda and about 110 Km from balikpapan. This Museum was officially declared on November 25, 1971 by Governor of East Kalimantan (Bapak H.A. Wahab Syahranie), handed over the department of Education and Culture on February 18, 1976.

Collection: Jewelry of kutai Kingdom, ceramic from Hindu and Islam period old spears, gamelan, throne, world sweep cannon, and collection of Sultan bulungan, Sultan pasir, Sultan Sambaliung, and Sultan Gunung Tabur.

Open: daily: (Monday-Thursday: 08.00-14.00), (Friday: 08.00-11.00), (Sunday: 08.00-16.00).

The Funeral of King Kutai is located beside the museum. Visitor can visit it every day.

Located along Mahakam River, this Long Iram Subdistrict, has traditional and unique arts and handicrafts produced by the people of Dayak Bahau Tribe.

Facilities: traditional home stays called lamin.

Popular traditional ceremony: Lamelan Tenan, Laliqilgal, Hudoq Apah.

This place can be reached by river-boat (samarinda Tering).

Located at Waru Sub district, about 46 km from balikpapan/34 km from Penajam.

The aims of the deer and their conservation. The ten deerconserved breed it is hoped that the 10 deer to be cultivated will breed. The width of the field is about 30 ha.

We can go to this location by bus (Penajam-Waru).

Melak is a little village further upstream on the Mahakam River in the heart of the land of Tanjung Dayak. Not far from the village is the Kersik Luway nature reserve, where the "Black Orchid" grows. 
 
The cite Sandurangas Kingdom, Pasir Belengkong Sub district. | Print |

Located at the side of Kendilo River, exactly at pasir Belengkong, built in 1516. the historical object are: Batu Giri (Giri Stone) Lomu Wood (100 m long), attaining the age of 300 year, mosque, and the funeral of Sandurangas, Pasir.

To get this object we can go by taxi (Penajam-Tanah Grogot), as long as 157 Km, we can continue the trip to Pasir Belengkong by taxi with the rate Rp 1.000,-
